Greenodd Brewery is a compact 2.5 barrel micro-brewery. Here we brew a selection of over 16 different light and dark ales to suit all tastes. The brewery has been in operation since 2010 and the first brew "Greenodd Best Bitter" remains a firm favourite to this day, with our regulars.
The great thing about the brewery being connected to the pub, is there is always a ready-made "gang of experts" on-board. They are never shy at giving an opinion and telling us how it is, so we know when they enjoy our beers, that our beer is very good!
Whilst we are not afraid to try something new and frequently do, we always recognise that our stable favourites keep us in business, these being Kiln, Blonde, Citra, Best Bitter, Roundabout, Caskade and Coal Wharf Stout. There are seasonal beers too such as Hoptastic and Chaos on the A590. Roundabout was named as such because at one point we were sure that it would be the only roundabout Greenodd would see given the delays in upgrading the A590 junction! Our brewer has many recipes to choose from and we also brew beers on request for other local freehouse pubs, like The Farmers Arms at Baycliffe. Greenodd beers are available at The Ship Inn as the brewery tap, and can also be regularly found at The Mill and The Farmers Arms in Ulverston. One thing is for sure so you can always be assured of a good pint at The Ship Inn Greenodd!
Well done to all the team, especially our brewer Pompey Tom for winning gold award for best bitter at 2018 Lancaster Beer Festival!
